An der diesjährigen Off-Road Weltmeisterschaft war Jason Ruona mit einem ganz speziellen Fahrzeug unterwegs: einer 4x4 Version des Team Associated B4 2WD Buggies. Zusammen mit Brad Reelfs hat Ruona diesen 4WD Buggy auf Basis des B4 konstruiert. Nebst vielen Associated Standard-Teilen wurden auch viele eigens produzierte Aluminium- und Kohlefaser-Teile eingesetzt.

Die Karosserie des Fahrzeugs wurde in sehr kurzer Zeit hergestellt und falls dieses Fahrzeug jemals in Produktion gehen wird, wären laut Gerüchten auf dem Internet 2 Karosserien im Bausatz enthalten. Vieles ist bei diesem Modell also noch unklar. Der Deckname dieses Prototyps ist übrigens BJ4x4.

Jason Ruona hat in den Vorläufen den 13. Platz erreicht, was sicher ein hervorragendes Ergebnis ist! Wir können also gespannt sein, ob der BJ4x4 je in Produktion gehen wird.

Mir gefällt der Buggy sehr gut. Sieht irgendwie dem Durango ähnlich, wie ich finde.

interessant ist auch, dass der Durango nicht mehr hergestellt wird...

ausverkauft ist er ja schon seit 1-2 Wochen.
Aber wenn auch nicht mehr nachproduziert wird, dürfte klar, sein, dass Associated sich einen eigenen 4wd Buggy bauen will.
Nach der letzten 4WD WM mit 9 Losis und 1 Yokomo in den Top Ten wundert mich das ehrlich gesagt nicht!

Soon enough hobbyshops will take on the parts as well so their are no worries about not getting the parts you may need. einzig bei feuchter strecke wirds lustig beim putzen da kein wannchassis.

aber mal ne andre frage: hält ne carbonbodenplatte der belastung überhaupt stand??? könnte mir vorstelln das die knickt.

Wofür gibts denn die Druckluft und den Bremsenreiniger??

Ich glaub nicht das die Platte knicken kann da sie durch ein Doppeldeck verstrebt ist
