Die 'Norwegian Motorsport Federation NMF' hat das Verbot von organisierten Trainings und Rennen in der Kategorie RC-Elektro wegen explodierenden Akkus wieder aufgehoben.
Am alljährlichen Hauptversammlung der 'Norwegian RC federation' vom 17.-18.November 2007 wurde beschlossen, dass Verbot der Elektro Rennen wieder aufzuheben. Das Verbot wurde infolge einer Reihe von explodierten Akkus an Rennen am 8.11.2007 beschlossen. Die NMF hat eine Reihe von Auflagen/Empfehlungen wie die BRCA herausgegeben, in denen die sichere Handhabung der Akkus beschrieben wird. Diese bleiben bis 1. April 2008 gültig. EFRA wird bis dahin Ihre Akku Homologationsliste überarbeitet haben.

'The Norwegian Motorsport Federation (NMF), division Norwegian Radio Controlled Motorsport Federation, has withdrawn the ban of racing with electric rc-cars. The decision is made I understanding with the national drivers, clubs, importers and some dealers.
The decision was taken at our Annual Meeting 17th-18th November this year where it was established a temporarily set of new rules, regulating how to charge batteries during training and racing until 1st April 2008.
NMF have also appointed a ‘working group’ with members from involved parts, to follow up this problem in the future. Following the temporarily rules of charging, we will with some exceptions allow EFRA approved batteries on the list from 1st April 2007 published at EFRAs webpage. We have also taken into consideration that we from 1st April 2008 will have a new generation of batteries for our sport.
We experience that our decision taken in November this year has being well known all our Europe and many federations are working with this matter. We will therefore, as soon as possible, for your information send a version in English of our new set of rules.
We will especially thank all the people in other countries, distributors, federations, clubs and drivers for all the support and assisting with valuable information in this particular situation. Our goal was to find the best solutions before start racing again and with all the help; we can do this six weeks earlier than we planned.
Our new sets of rules are almost similar to BRCAs recommendation sent out through EFRA 18th November by e-mail to all members of EFRA.
